About Me

“Learning never exhausts the mind.”
I totally agree with this quote from Leonardo da Vinci. I always enjoy learning something new. To me, learning is growing and it has no limit of age, gender, place, or time. In terms of academic education, I received my M.Sc. in Software Engineering from the University of Calgary and my B.Sc. in CSE from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

I love teaching and research.
I am working as a lecturer in the Department of CSE at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Previously, I served as a lecturer at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. I have also worked as a graduate research & teaching assistant at the University of Calgary during my master's.

I believe in AI for a better world.
My research interests are Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Software Engineering (SE). Currently, I am working on the application of ML and NLP-based techniques to improve software development and maintenance processes. I have also worked in computational bio and the social sciences.
Broadly, I am interested in designing and employing ML and NLP techniques to make people's life a little easier on this earth and beyond.

This project aims to explore various machine learning approaches for detecting toxic comments. We study Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, K Nearest Neighbors, NB-LR, Convolutional Neural Networks, Long Short-Term Memory Networks, Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory Networks on identifying toxicity in text.
This project aims to build an automated system which measures usefulness of code reviews.A system that detects driver attention by tracking head orientation and eye gaze to prevent road accidents resulting from driver inattentiveness. It takes and executes basic voice commands. It was built using Raspberry Pi, Python OpenCV libraries, PyAudio and Google Speech Recognition.A web based application where people can sign up using their national ID card and submit any complaint of their own locality which will be seen by authority concerned. It was developed using PHP, and Android Web View.An automated system to save electricity by human detection through Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor and automated regulation of electronic devices which was built using Atmega32.
Different graph algorithms were explored using OrientDB graph database.Typical dx-ball game developed using Assembly 8086.A multiplayer online version of Pac-Man, which I built with Java.A shooting game which was developed using C and C++.
